We are seeking a Physician Assistant for our Indianapolis office located at St. Francis Hospital South. Hospital rounds, surgery assisting and office hours expected. Position Summary:

Licensed health care professional to practice medicine within the scope of the State of Indiana licensing act with the supervision of a practicing physician.

 

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs and documents simple physical examinations.

2. With the consultation of an attending physician, may diagnose and determine treatment for designated patients.

3. May order certain medications under the approval of physician.

4. Assist in surgery with Orthopaedic cases

5. Will interpret various laboratory tests.

6. Perform patient rounds upon completion of the credentialing process at the given hospital. 

7. Special Patient Activity:

A.  First post-op visit  

B.  Research projects/Data Collection 

C.  Participate in committees or Special Projects as assigned

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana

Experience:Two years in general practice, One year in orthopaedics practice preferred. We will consider a new graduate.
